Dávid Paizs, Head Sommelier of Costes Downtown, will participate in the I. Open Hungarian Sommelier Championship organized by the Hungarian Sommelier Club. Our restaurant and the entire Costes Group support him as one.
The Serbian, Austrian and Polish federations also sent their most famous professionals to the event between October 20-21, so an international field was formed. The competition itself is extremely complex: in the first round, the theoretical knowledge of the participants is tested, in the semi-finals there will be practical challenges, while in the finals, the presentation style is also very important. In addition, the tasks must be completed on time, and the last part is arranged in front of an audience. The fact that the championship was jointly announced by the Hungarian Sommelier Club and the Hungarian Sommelier Association is also of great importance in professional circles.
